The Community Website is an avenue to enable residents and groups within the Communities to inter-relate with each other. A forum where both existing and new residents can keep abreast of local events and also contribute to and discuss local issues for the benefit of the communities as a whole.
While the advances in technology over the years has had an overall benefit, some may say that it has also contributed to the decline of 'country communities'.
The days when neighbours were 'neighbours' and not 'the people living down the road' was a good thing and hopefully this site will go some way to restoring this - all be it in a different format.
All listings on the website are free , so if you have a business, a group or club, or a local event you want to let the community know about let us know first.
All local events and news items are included in the 'Community News' pages and are updated weekly.
If your Club or Committee has an event or information you wish to advertise to the community, let us know -

Windmills for Carrajung ?
A feasibility study to place wind turbines within close proximity of the Carrajung township is currently being undertaken by Synergy Wind
As this proposed development, if it eventuates, could have a large impact upon individuals and the community as a whole, a dedicated area of the Community Website will be implemented over the comoing weks to provide updated information and to cover ongoing developments.
If you have a view on any proposal to construct 'Wind Farms' locally you can post yourinformation on the 'Community Forum'

COMMUNITY WEBSITE
The pages of the 'Carrajung & District' website, as mentioned above, have been compiled as a focal point for what is happening locally; as an avenue for members of the community to have an input on local issues; as a means to quickly advertise coming events and also to provide a reference for new residents or visitors to our communities. Its intention is not to do away with the 'Store News' or the 'Flyers' that come on the mail run but to provide an additional means for those in our communities with internet access to receive information.
Several local businesses, associations and clubs are not as yet listed - the number of clubs, small businesses and the like within the area to say the least was unexpected when totalled. If you wish to be included ( its free ) contact me and i'll arrange for photos, editorial etc to be put together.
Likewise, included pages and layouts are my interpretation of your business, club etc to enable the site to get under way. Changes can be readily made to all pages.
Ongoing updates to pages will be: 'Classifieds' - daily. 'Community News' - weekly. New pages - weekly. All other existing pages - monthly.

The Jungadale Conservation Reserve on the corner of Hyland Highway and Grand Ridge Road is currently managed by the local community through the Carrajung Conservation Reserve Association.
